Bird photography by Rachel Hogancamp

Art on our walls

Bird and nature photography by owner Rachel Hogancamp

We're thrilled to show the work of Rachel Hogancamp, owner of The Waterfront Cafe and Founder and Managing Partner of Rasa Spa (in partnership with Island Health & Fitness). Rachel is an Ithaca-based photographer with a deep passion for nature and wildlife.

Rachel began photographing after graduating from Ithaca College in 1991, honing her skills with portraits of actors, musicians and artists. In 2016, after successful breast cancer treatment, she rediscovered her love for capturing birds in flight.

What began as healing and a form of meditation has grown into a true artistic pursuit. Rachel now takes her camera across the Finger Lakes, Cape Cod and Florida, capturing birds and nature. Her work reflects her connection to wildlife conservation and the calm she brings from her spa world to the natural world.

Stop by the cafe to see Rachel's photography. Whether you're a bird enthusiast or simply love nature, her images offer a peaceful escape into the wild.
